Amidst trouble with her brother-in-law, a continuous rivalry and a neighbourhood fire, Mrs. Lirriper discovers that a dying man in Paris is trying to get a hold of her.
All the hopefulness of the first book come to fruition in Mrs. Lirriper’s Legacy and it is a worthy conclusion.
